Dorktales Podcast: Episode 2
The Three Little…HOGS?!
The Three Little…HOGS? Who’s heard of that? According to Mr. Redge, our Dorktales sidekick, it’s a classic tale from the fairy tale cannon! Come hear our storyteller recount the story of hedgehogs Porky, Percy and Peregrin, and their ultimate triumph over the dastardly wolf using a glue pot, rapier and a wheel barrow. According to Percy, “It’s epic, man!”
PARENTS, TEACHERS AND HOMESCHOOLERS: Through playful storytelling between two characters, Jonathan and Reginald T. Hedgehog, respect and kindness take center stage in “Three Little Hogs.” The two friends find common ground despite their differences, mirroring how individuality and decision-making shape the little hedgehogs’ approaches to building their houses. Peregrin’s sturdy brick house showcases the value of planning and foresight, while the mother hedgehog’s guidance underscores the wisdom of experience. The consequences faced by the first two hedgehogs highlight the need for thoughtful choices, and the siblings’ eventual teamwork illustrates how collaboration and support can overcome challenges.
